If you’ve been to Metametrix.com recently, you may have noticed some changes in our website. Several changes were made to the Learning Center, to help organize the wealth of educational material Metametrix has created over the years to support Integrative and Functional Medicine and the importance of laboratory testing.

The online multimedia resources reside in the following categories:

	Articles – A collection of informative articles, white papers, and peer-reviewed published works to help patients and practitioners gain a better understanding of Functional Medicine and how Metametrix testing applies.
	Books – A recommended reading list of books focused on integrative approaches to health focusing on functional medicine, Autism, and nutritional remedies.
	Case Studies – Case studies highlight actual patient cases that have utilized Metametrix testing to help find the cause of chronic symptoms. These case studies come from the Metametrix Institute Grand Rounds, where Institute staff and external doctors and clinicians review real-life examples of functional testing and improved patient outcomes.
	LEIFM Excerpts – Excerpts from the landmark book, Laboratory Evaluations in Integrative and Functional Medicine, outline specific functional tests and the biochemistry behind the test to help further understanding.
	Metabolic Pathways – Detailed charts and diagrams that visually demonstrate the metabolic pathways that are important to healthy body function.
	Podcasts – Audio recordings provided by Metametrix Institute staff focusing on functional testing’s importance in helping patients achieve optimal health. Many podcasts include interviews with functional medicine industry specialists.
	Presentations – Video and Power Point presentations provided by Metametrix Institute staff focusing on functional testing’s importance in helping patients achieve optimal health. These presentations often include audio and are detailed in explaining the biochemistry behind several Metametrix profile options.
	References – Additional resources are provided as links to articles and studies. References are organized by profile name.
	Web Resources – Links to websites that also provide information on functional and integrative medicine and nutrition.

Another great feature of the new Learning Center allows you to filter the content by Test Profile. Simply select the profile of interest from the pick list, and all related materials appear and are sorted by date published. (See sample images below)

Once you select an item from the Summary list, all profiles related to the educational piece are listed in the top right corner of the page, making it easy for you to find the profile the best fits your patient’s needs.

If you are more accustomed to browsing the Test Overview pages, the new Learn More tab lists all Learning Center content related to that specific profile.
